Description Laboratory Protocols in Fungal Biology de Vijai Kumar Gupta:

Fungi and their biomolecules are explored in a variety of scientific endeavors. This manual will act as an invaluable source of laboratory protocols for standard and applied research applications. The methods outlined in this book will cater to the needs of researchers in the fields of biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology and beyond. As this discipline comes to the forefront of research in these sectors, the requirement for a consolidation of available research approaches is highlighted. Therefore, this laboratory manual will strive to consolidate the most widely used mycological methods available in the fields of biochemistry, biotechnology and microbiology. The methods outlined will give clear and concise direction to the reader and will cover both standard protocols and more applied mycological methods. This book aims to provide information to undergraduates, post-graduates and researchers studying in fields of the natural sciences using mycological approaches. Protocols are designed to facilitate early stage and experienced researchers, who can also easily carry out the experiments as outlined. Each protocol in the manual would describe the background and usefulness of the experiment in question followed by a clear and concise practical outline. All the protocols covered in the manual will be derived from current peer reviewed literature as accepted by the international scientific community. At present, there is no manual available at present that consolidates available protocols for fungal applications across the disciplines. Editors Vijai Kumar Gupta is Assistant Professor of Biotechnology at MITS University, India. Presently, he is working as a Post Doctoral Research Scientist, at NUIG, Ireland. He obtained his Ph.D. in Microbiology from Dr. R.M.L. Avadh University, India. He has been honoured with several awards, including the prestigious Indian ICAR Senior Research Fellowship and Young Scientist Award-2009, 2011. He has over seven years of research experience in Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology with a special interest in fungal biology. He has edited books published from Lambert Academic Publishing, Germany- Nova Science Publishers, USA- Science Publisher, CRC Press, Taylor

Once I started reading, I finished in five days; ! which is less time than I took in a book
